My name is Frank Cash and I am a first-year special education teacher at Unity High School. I’m excited and looking forward to the opportunity to work at Unity on a full-time basis. I did my student teaching at Unity in the fall of 2007 and since then, have spent time in the district as a substitute teacher.
I graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1986 and Culver-Stockton College with a degree in physical education in 1991. I returned to Culver-Stockton in the fall of 2006 to complete my teaching certification. I have also taken classes at John Wood Community College and am currently enrolled in a graduate class at Quincy University.
I have worked as a sports writer at the Quincy Herald-Whig on both a part-time and full-time basis for 22 years. I also worked as the sports information director at Quincy University from 2004 through 2006. I enjoy serving as a public address announcer for a variety of sports around the area.
I married my wife, Beth, on July 16, 2005. We have a Great Pyrenees, Zoey, and two cats, Raider and Tennessee. We enjoy the St. Louis Cardinals and go to several games each year. We also have dairy cows which we show at the Adams County Fair each year. I am a big college sports fan -- especially Duke basketball and Tennessee and Mizzou football.
